30 Manhole Covers Vanish in Knoll Lane Heist!

Nearly 30 metal manhole covers were nicked from Knoll Lane between Tuesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 13, 2021. The bold theft has left locals shocked and police hunting for clues.

Police Hunt ‘Highways Worker’ Lookalikes

Police Sergeant Jason Bushell appealed for witnesses: “We want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area during those days. The culprits might have posed as highways workers and could have used a vehicle to haul the covers.”

Sergeant Bushell also urged drivers passing through Knoll Lane to check their dashcam footage for anything unusual that could help crack the case.
