Valentine’s Night Murder Sparks Massive Manhunt in Kent

A killer is still on the loose after gunning down a woman outside the Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, on Valentine’s Night, February 14, 2025. Police revealed the victim was blasted with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. New forensic evidence shows the shooter wore gloves to dodge leaving gunpowder residue behind.

Crucial Clues Found in Suspect’s Car

Forensic teams searching a Seat vehicle linked to the suspect uncovered vital evidence, including:

  • Three bullet casings – two spent, one still loaded in the chamber.
  • Two AU Vodka pre-mixed drink cans in the front cup holder.
  • A Louis Vuitton clutch bag found at the front of the car.
  • A child’s top discovered in the back seat.
  • A pair of gloves believed to have been worn by the gunman to avoid gunpowder traces.

Ballistics experts are currently analysing the firearm and gloves for any gunpowder or DNA traces.

Suspect, Likely Ex-Partner, Flees Scene on Foot

The suspect, thought to be the victim’s former partner, fled on foot after shooting twice from inside the vehicle, then firing a final fatal shot as she lay on the ground. Despite desperate attempts to save her—including CPR from a pub customer—the woman could not be saved.

Armed Police Lock Down Village as Hunt Intensifies

  • Police placed Knockholt under lockdown Friday night, conducting house-to-house searches.
  • The National Police Air Service helicopter joined the chase but the suspect remains at large.
  • Forensic teams continue to comb the crime scene and car for fresh clues.

Police Appeal for Public Help

“We are urgently searching for the suspect and following multiple leads. The key evidence found in the vehicle is crucial to our investigation, but we need the public’s help to track him down.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 101, quoting the incident details.
