Heavy Police Swarm Sandown After Late-Night Incident
Police descended on Sandown, Isle of Wight, in the early hours of Sunday morning (29 May) following a reported disturbance. Witnesses spotted a large number of patrol vehicles outside the former 1 Hotel on the Esplanade, now converted into flats.
Dog Unit and Multiple Police Cars on Scene
Among the police vehicles was a dog van, with officers seen speaking to a group of people nearby. A third police car arrived to back up the officers already handling the situation.
Drunk Youths At Centre of Incident
A local resident claimed the trouble involved a group of intoxicated youths. One of the group was reportedly arrested and taken away in the police van.
Police have not yet released an official statement about the incident.
