Van Drives Like a Maniac Before Smashing Head-On Into Bus
A van driven recklessly moments earlier has sparked a major man hunt after smashing head-on into a bus and then fleeing the scene. The terrifying incident unfolded around 6.30pm on Sunday in Southampton’s Hedge End area.
Wild Overtaking Spree Before Crash
The transit-style van was seen dangerously overtaking five cars on the wrong side of the road just before the collision. Eyewitnesses described the driver’s actions as “brazen” and “life-threatening.”
Police Launch Massive Search Operation
After the crash, the driver fled on foot, sparking a huge police response. Helicopters from the National Air Support have been scrambled to hunt the suspect from above. Officers on the ground are also conducting a thorough area search, assisted by a police dog squad.
