Shock at North London School: 17 Kids Fall Ill After Eating Suspected THC Sweets
Police have swooped in after 17 children fell ill at a north London school, reportedly from eating sweets laced with THC. Two suspects have now been arrested.
Two Arrests Made Over School ‘THC Sweets’ Incident
- On Wednesday, October 7, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and child neglect.
- He was bailed pending further investigation, due to return in November.
- The following day, October 8, police arrested a 24-year-old woman on the same charges. She remains in custody.
Emergency Response After Pupils Fall Ill
London Ambulance Service called police at 11:45am on Monday, October 5, reporting children feeling unwell after eating sweets at a Highgate Road school in NW5. Initially, 13 kids were taken to hospital—but this number later rose to 17 as more became ill.
Thankfully, none required critical care. Parents were quickly informed and police continue their investigation.
