A man has been arrested after reportedly chasing two girls in Calcot and another person down Oxford Road. Quick-thinking members of the public detained the suspect until police arrived.
Heroic Public Stop Suspect with Knife
A local couple spotted the man on Belmont Road after reports emerged that he had been chasing teenage girls nearby. They held him down until officers got there.
Police found a large knife hidden in a black bag in the suspect’s pocket before taking him into custody.

“This is the guy that chased two girls in Calcot earlier and chased another one down Oxford Road. My partner and I found him down Belmont Road and stopped him until police arrived. When they searched him, he had a massive knife on him, which was in the black bag in his pocket. The scum is now locked up.”
