Man in his 20s arrested after violent fight on High Road, Wembley

Police called to disturbance on High Road

A brawl broke out on High Road, Wembley (HA9) on Thursday afternoon, ending with a man in his 20s being arrested. The Metropolitan Police were called at around 4:54pm on 27 March after reports of a disturbance.

Suspect assaults police officer during arrest

Officers quickly detained the man on suspicion of common assault. But during the arrest, he allegedly attacked a police officer, resulting in a second charge for assaulting an emergency services worker.

“Officers attended and a man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of common assault. He subsequently assaulted a police officer, so was further arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency services worker.”

Officer unharmed, enquiries ongoing

Thankfully, the officer did not need hospital treatment. The suspect remains in police custody while investigations continue.
