Man in 20s Arrested Over Fatal Fight at Cobham M25 Service Station

Suspect in Custody After Shocking Shell Forecourt Murder

A man in his 20s from East Surrey has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a brutal brawl at the Shell petrol station at Cobham Services on Monday afternoon.

Detective Chief Inspector Jo Hayes said the victim, a 20-year-old man, was attacked by two men he knew during a fight around 3.15pm on June 26. He suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to St George’s Hospital but sadly died earlier today.

Second Suspect Still on the Run

Police are searching for a second suspect believed to be involved in the attack. “We urge this person to come forward,” said DCI Hayes. Officers want to speak to anyone who refuelled or shopped at the station between 3pm and 3.30pm Monday.

CCTV footage shows a man wearing military-style or camouflage clothing inside the shop who may hold vital information. Police also want to speak to drivers who were on the forecourt during the fight and request dashcam footage.

White Van Abandoned in Chessington Key to Investigation

The two attackers fled in a white Peugeot Partner van (registration NX63 VLP) with a roof rack and ladder. The van was abandoned and found by police in Chessington earlier today.

DCI Hayes added: “We need to know where this van was between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. If you saw it or the driver, please contact us immediately.”
