Man Stabbed on Lewisham High Street in Late-Night Attack
A 24-year-old man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing on Lewisham High Street near Lewis Grove late Wednesday night. Emergency services, including police and the London Ambulance Service, arrived at the scene around 10:25 pm to find the victim injured.
Suspect Arrested as Police Launch Investigation
A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody. A crime scene remains in place as officers continue their enquiries.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 10.25 pm on Wednesday, 16 October, to reports of a man stabbed on Lewisham High Street. “The 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment; we await an update on his condition. “A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. A crime scene is in place.”
