Man Brutally Attacked in West Norwood, Left Fighting for Life

A man suffered severe injuries after a vicious assault in West Norwood, sparking a police hunt for witnesses and suspects.

Violent Attack on Station Rise

Shortly after 9:30pm on Friday, 30 March, police and the London Ambulance Service rushed to Station Rise, SE27. A 39-year-old man had been set upon by three attackers. The victim suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to a south London hospital. Luckily, he’s now out and recovering.

Three Arrested in Connection to Assault

Police swiftly moved, arresting three men linked to the attack:

  • 20-year-old arrested on Brixton Road on 31 March, now bailed to return in late April
  • 44-year-old and 24-year-old arrested on 1 April, both bailed to return later in April

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

“Although three arrests have been made, we strongly urge any witnesses to come forward,” said Detective Constable Carolina Luby from Brixton CID. “The victim was clearly punched and kicked in a very violent attack. Luckily, he escaped permanent damage. If you saw anything, get in touch.”
