Man Stabbed in Mitcham Fight as Police Impose Section 60

Police rushed to Octavia Close, Mitcham, at 1.52pm on Sunday, November 15th, after reports of a fight. They found a man with a stab wound to his leg.

The victim is being treated at a South London hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

No Arrests Yet as Section 60 Powers Come Into Play

So far, no suspects have been arrested. In response, police have authorised a Section 60 order covering the wards of Ravensbury, Cricket Green, Wandle Valley, and St Helier.

This stop-and-search power is in effect from 3pm on November 15th until 5am on November 16th, 2020.

Investigation Ongoing

Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
