Daylight stabbing in Hatton Garden sends 24-year-old to hospital
A 24-year-old man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing in broad daylight in central London’s famous jewellery hub, Hatton Garden.
Knife attack shocks London’s EC1 jewellery district
The Metropolitan Police responded at 3.39pm on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, following reports of a violent clash in the EC1 area. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Police have yet to disclose his condition.
Road closures and forensic hunt under way
Police have shut roads around Hatton Garden while forensic teams comb the area and collect witness statements. As of Wednesday evening, no arrests have been made and inquiries remain ongoing.
Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses
Detectives are calling on anyone who saw the attack or has CCTV or mobile footage to step forward.
“If you saw anything or have any footage, please contact us,” a police spokesperson urged.
