Man Stabbed to Death in Brutal Attempted Robbery Over Online Jacket Sale
Police were called at around 5.20pm on Wednesday, 17 March after a shocking stabbing on Lea Bridge Road, near Grove Road in Walthamstow. A man in his 20s had advertised a jacket for sale online when two men turned up at his home and tried to snatch it at knifepoint.
Struggle Ends in Tragedy
A violent struggle broke out, during which the victim was fatally stabbed. His mother was also injured while trying to protect him. Despite efforts from the London Ambulance Service, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family Devastated, Investigation Underway
Police also found a second man at the scene with cuts to his hand. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The family of the deceased are reportedly devastated.
Road closures remain in place as officers continue their enquiries. No arrests have been made at this early stage.
