Armed Burglar on the Run After Raid Near Maidstone
Kent Police were called at 12.17pm on Saturday, 29 August 2020, after a man forcefully broke into a property between Linton Hill and Staplehurst Road, Marden.
Thief Threatens Woman, Steals Cash and Jewellery
The intruder allegedly threatened a woman at the home before rifling through the property and making off with money, watches, and jewellery. Police were scrambled to the scene, backed by a helicopter, but the suspect managed to escape.
Police Hunt Northern Accent Burglar on a Pushbike
- Description: White male, slim build, around 5ft 8ins tall with brown eyes
- Clothing: Dark clothes
- Accent: Northern
- Travel: Possibly used a bicycle to arrive and flee
The burglary is under investigation by Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate. Detectives have appealed for dashcam footage from anyone driving in the area between 9.30am and 12.30pm, as well as local home CCTV or doorbell camera recordings.
