Manhunt Underway for Lewisham Bus Sex Attacker
Detectives have released an image of a man they urgently want to question over a shocking sexual assault on a late-night Lewisham bus.
Victim Targeted on Route 136
The 28-year-old woman was travelling on a route 136 bus from Lewisham Hospital to Elephant and Castle at 2.10am on Friday, 9 November. She was sat near the exit doors when a man followed her onto the bus.
A few minutes into the journey, the suspect approached and sexually assaulted her. The brave victim confronted him, forcing the attacker to flee the bus at Lewisham Station.
Suspect Description Released
- Male, Mediterranean appearance
- Slim build, about 5ft 10in tall
- Mid to late 20s
- Black slicked-back hair
- Wearing a blue hoodie or jacket, jeans
- Light-coloured cap worn backwards
Police Appeal for Public’s Help
The victim is receiving specialist support as the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command leads the investigation.
