Animal Welfare Event Hits Dover This Friday!
Kent Police and partners are teaming up for a major animal welfare event in Dover on Friday 8 April 2022. If you care about your pets, this is one date to put in your diary.
Meet The Experts Face-to-Face
From 10am to 3pm at Pencester Gardens, the public can chat with professional experts. On hand will be a Kent Police Dog Liaison Officer, plus reps from the RSPCA, The Dogs Trust, Dogs 1 UK, and Crimestoppers.
Get Your Dog Chipped and Ask Questions
Dog owners can have their pooches microchipped on the spot. You’ll also get the chance to quiz the experts on animal welfare, crime related to pets, rescue missions, and adoption processes.
Community Safety On The Agenda
“Protecting pet owners from becoming victims of crime is an important issue for Kent Police and the many partner agencies we work with,” said Acting Inspector Leigh Woolnough from Dover Community Safety Unit.
“I hope this event will give members of the public an opportunity to speak to a range of experts about any questions they have, and gives us and other agencies a chance to hear community concerns.”
Other key players include Kent County Council’s Community Warden, Dover District Council’s Environmental Officer and Dog Warden, plus animal carers from AHPAW and the Artisan Rare Breeds Centre. Don’t miss out!
