Man Hospitalised with Head Injury After Brutal Assault at Mile End Tube
A man was left with a serious head injury after a violent attack at Mile End Underground station late on Sunday night.
Violent Assault Sparks Emergency Response
At around 11.30pm on 20 July, emergency services rushed to Mile End Road, E3, following reports of an assault at the ticket line inside Mile End Tube station.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers and London Ambulance Service (LAS) medics arrived promptly. The victim was treated at the scene before being whisked away to a major trauma centre. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“We were called at 11.26pm on Sunday 20 July to reports of an assault on Mile End Road.
We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a paramedic from our tactical response unit, alongside a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
We treated a man for a head injury and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
British Transport Police are appealing for anyone who saw the assault or has information to come forward.
