Herne Bay Drug Bust: Men Caught with Heroin in Sock

Suspicious Stop on Gordon Road

Police stopped a car on Gordon Road, Herne Bay, just after 3pm on Wednesday 23 June 2021. Inside, officers found Class A drugs – believed to be heroin – hidden inside a man’s sock. The roadside search also uncovered several mobile phones.

Two Men Arrested

Two men were taken into custody on suspicion of Class A drug supply. One is a 41-year-old from Whitstable, the other a 30-year-old from Greater London. Both were arrested at the scene.

Raid Reveals More Drugs and Cash

Following the stop, police searched a nearby property. They discovered cannabis and a small stash of cash. Police Dog Roxy sniffed out extra notes stashed inside a radiator, adding to the evidence.

Investigation Ongoing

The County Lines and Gangs Team is now probing the case. Both men have been released on police bail until 20 July 2021 as inquiries continue.
