Tragedy on the A35: Man in 60s Killed in New Forest Crash
Fatal Collision Shuts Down Busy Road
Police are hunting for witnesses after a deadly smash near the Eastclose Country House Hotel in the New Forest. The crash happened just after 10.10am on Tuesday, 3 July, on the A35 at Hinton. A motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from Bournemouth, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver Seriously Hurt, Road Reopened
The driver of the car, an 87-year-old local man, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Southampton General Hospital. Roads were closed while officers worked at the scene but have now reopened.
Police Seek Crucial Eyewitness Info
Sergeant Andy Gwyer urged anyone who saw the crash or spotted a silver Honda Jazz or a black Honda CBR motorcycle on the A35 before the collision to come forward.
