Tragic Crash in Portsmouth: Young Biker Dies in Early Morning Smash
Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal collision tore through Portsmouth in the early hours of Saturday, 9 June. Just before 1am, officers rushed to Winston 1 Avenue following reports of a crash involving a Yamaha motorcycle.
20-Year-Old Rider Dies En Route to Hospital
The 20-year-old man from Havant was thrown from his Yamaha bike during the collision. Tragically, he later died on his way to the hospital. Authorities have informed his next of kin, who are receiving support from specialist officers.
Police Appeal for Eyewitnesses and Another Motorcyclist
Sergeant Rik Grant urged anyone with information to come forward. “We want to hear from anyone who witnessed this crash or has details to help our investigation,” he said.
Police are particularly keen to speak to the rider of a blue motorcycle who was seen travelling alongside the Yamaha before the crash.
