Police Officers Walk Away Miraculously After Horror Crash on A45
Police officers have miraculously escaped serious injury after their car smashed into a lorry on the A45 in Northamptonshire. The terrifying crash happened while they were responding to a 999 emergency call on Thursday morning.
Public Heroes Rush to Aid After Fiery Collision
Chief Constable Nick Adderley paid tribute to brave members of the public who rushed to help the officers at the scene. “I wish to express my sincere thanks to those members of the public who came to the aid of my officers, following this horrific crash,” he said.
Officers Safe, Now Recovering at Home
The wrecked police car, pictured on Mr Adderley’s Twitter, was left a total wreck after the smash on the eastbound carriageway near Northampton, between Great Billing and Earls Barton. The crash happened just after 10am.
“Walking away from the below wreckage is quite frankly a miracle,” said Mr Adderley. “Thankfully, they are safe and recovering at home with their loved ones.”
Police Launch Probe Into Crash Cause
An investigation is now underway to find out what caused the collision. Northamptonshire Police have vowed to get to the bottom of the crash as officers regain their strength.
