Woman Seriously Injured in Walls Car Crash
A 72-year-old woman was seriously hurt in a crash at The Pier on Pier Road, Walls, just after 1.10pm on Friday, 17 March.
Collision Details
The crash involved the woman, a black Citroen Berlingo, and a parked orange Suzuki Swift.
Emergency Response
She was rushed to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick, then transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in glasgow/" title="Glasgow" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Glasgow for treatment of serious injuries. No one else was hurt.
Police Investigation Underway
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this collision.”
Officers from the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit are investigating the scene on Saturday, 18 March.
