Woman Assaulted in Speldhurst Road on New Year’s Morning
A woman was targeted in a shocking attack on Speldhurst Road between Lady’s Gift Lane and Kibbles Lane in the early hours of January 1, 2024.
The victim was walking along the route between 1.10am and 1.30am when a stranger approached her. The man walked alongside her from Powder Mill Road before groping her at the crime scene. Suspect Described: Tall, Slim, Irish Accent
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his early 30s, standing about 5ft 11ins tall with a slim build. He has short dark hair, stubble, and speaks with an Irish accent. At the time, he wore a dark jacket and jeans.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detectives are urging anyone who recognises the man or saw suspicious behaviour around Speldhurst Road that night to get in touch. Residents with doorbell cameras or home security systems, and drivers with dashcam footage, are asked to check their recordings for anything that could help the investigation.
