Destination: Netherlands, Intercepted in UK

The National Crime Agency (NCA) revealed the cargo was meant for the Netherlands. However, it was seized on July 26, disrupting a major international drugs smuggling operation.

NCA Slams Criminal Drug Network

Adam Berry, NCA Branch Operations Manager, said: “Withdrawing a consignment of this size would have dealt a significant blow to the criminal network involved in this shipment, preventing them from making millions of pounds that could have been invested in further criminality.”

Berry also highlighted how gangs involved in violence and exploitation rely on these Class A drugs. The NCA is working with partners to stop shipments like this, targeting the deadly chain from international cartels right down to street dealers.
