Mystery Man Caught on CCTV Before Fire

Just before dawn on Monday 9 May, a lone figure, believed to be a man, was seen walking down Anchor Street. Minutes later, a fire broke out, damaging four cars.

No Arrests Yet as Police Probe Deliberate Attack

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. But police are treating the fire as a deliberate act and are on the hunt for the person caught on CCTV.

Police Constable Sarah Holland of Greater Manchester Police’s Oldham district said: “This was a deliberate act that fortunately didn’t result in any injuries. We are keen to speak to the person in the CCTV or anyone who was in the area at the time who may have some information.”
