Fatal Crash on Romney Road Leaves Three Dead, One Hospitalised
Kent Police rushed to the B2075 Romney Road at 6.20pm on Sunday, 18 April 2021, following a deadly crash involving a black Dacia Duster Ambiance and a white BMW M135i.
The female driver of the Dacia, in her 50s, and two male occupants of the BMW – one in his 20s, the other in his 40s – were all pronounced dead at the scene. The BMW’s driver, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
Police Hunt Witnesses to Shatter Mystery of Deadly Collision
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urgently appealing for witnesses. They want to hear from six people spotted standing together on a grass verge just north of Lydd Golf Club, mere hundreds of metres from the crash site. Anyone walking along Romney Road between 6pm and 6.30pm is also urged to come forward.
Detectives are especially interested in any dashcam or CCTV footage that could shed light on what happened.
