Teen Gang Busted Over Early Morning Stabbing in Avebury Avenue
A man in his twenties was viciously attacked near Avebury Avenue in the early hours of Friday, August 19, 2022. Kent Police were called at 12:55 a.m., with ambulance crews rushing to the scene.
Multiple Arrests in Brutal Assault Inquiry
A teen initially arrested was quickly released without charge. But the probe ramped up on Sunday, August 21, when five more suspects landed in custody as part of a Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate investigation.
- A 17-year-old boy from Coulsdon
- A 15-year-old girl from Tonbridge
- Two 16-year-old boys from Tonbridge
- A 47-year-old woman from Coulsdon, held on suspicion of assisting an offender
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
“It is critical that we speak with anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious around midnight,” said Detective Inspector Lee Neiles. “Tonbridge Park and numerous homes were nearby when the assault happened. We thank those who have come forward but still need more information.”
