Man Pushed From Footbridge in Early Morning Attack at Whatman Park

A man in his 40s was shoved from behind on a footbridge in Whatman Park at 7am on Thursday, 20 October 2022. The victim was crossing the bridge from Kerry Hill Way when he hit his head on a railing, suffering a nasty cut.

He later sought hospital treatment for his injury.

Police Hunt Witnesses in Unprovoked Assault

Police Sergeant Callum Tuckett revealed: “This was an unprovoked assault. We’re working hard to identify those responsible.”

He added the victim did not see who pushed him, but several people were nearby when it happened and could help the investigation.
