High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash on Wimborne Road
A white Volkswagen T-Roc failed to stop for police on Wimborne Road at around 10.15pm on Sunday, 29 May 2022, sparking a collision involving two other vehicles. The Volkswagen smashed into a black Mitsubishi Colt and a yellow Citroen Berlingo near the Alma Road junction.
Driver Arrested After Collision
The Volkswagen’s driver, a Bournemouth woman in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. She was taken to hospital with injuries that police believe are not serious. The Mitsubishi’s driver, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries and was also treated.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Police Constable Chris Brolan of the traffic unit said:
“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses to either the collision itself or the moments leading up to it, to please contact us. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
