Police Chase Ends in Crash on Wimborne Road
A dramatic police pursuit in Wimborne Road ended in a triple vehicle collision on Sunday night, May 29, 2022.
A white Volkswagen T-Roc refused to stop when officers in a marked police car signalled it at around 10:15pm. The chase culminated near the junction with Alma Road, where the Volkswagen smashed into a black Mitsubishi Colt and a yellow Citroen Berlingo.
Drivers Injured After Police Pursuit
The Volkswagen driver, a woman in her 20s from Bournemouth, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. She was taken to hospital with injuries reported as not serious.
The Mitsubishi driver, a man in his 30s, also needed treatment for minor injuries.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
PC Chris Brolan from Dorset Police traffic unit said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident. I urge anyone who saw the collision or the events leading up to it to come forward.”
He added: “If you have dashcam footage that could help, please get in touch.”
