Brutal Attack on Teen Shakes Portsmouth Near Train Station

An 18-year-old man was found battered and unconscious on a zebra crossing close to Portsmouth & Southsea Train Station early Sunday morning, leaving the city on edge.

Young Victim Hospitalised with Severe Injuries

Discovered near Station Street just after 2.30am, the teenager suffered two facial fractures, heavy bruising, swelling, and a small brain bleed. Thankfully, he has since been discharged from hospital.

Police Hunting Trio Caught on CCTV

Officers have released CCTV images of three men spotted in the area at the time of the assault. They are eager to speak with these suspects or anyone who can identify them.

  • Man 1: White, slim, aged 18-25, 5ft 5in–5ft 8in, brown curly hair. Wearing a light blue zipped jumper, dark shorts with white pinstripe, black trainers, carrying black man bag with silver zip.
  • Man 2: White, slim, aged 18-25, 5ft 7in–5ft 10in, light brown hair with faded sides and longer top. Dark blue jeans, short-sleeved dark top, black and white man bag, black and red/orange trainers, possibly Adidas.
  • Man 3: White, average build, aged 18-25, 5ft 7in–5ft 10in, dark blonde/brown hair long on top. Wearing ripped dark blue jeans, white t-shirt (last seen shirtless), white and blue Nike trainers.

Police Appeal to Public for Crucial Info

The victim is believed to have walked from Catherine 1 on Stanhope Road to the train station before being attacked. A passerby found him unconscious and alerted authorities.

“We want anyone who recognises these men or has any information to get in touch immediately,” said a police spokesperson.
