Police Crackdown Continues

“The vast majority of those attending football are there to do just that and want no involvement in any disorder. However, there is a small minority who seek to use it as an occasion to commit crime, and we will not tolerate this,” said Chief Inspector Stuart Ratcliffe.

“Our arrests today come following some extremely hard work from our officers, and we will continue to work to identify and arrest anyone involved in this incident.”

The 12 latest arrests come after 10 men were detained at the scene. Those ten remain on conditional bail as the investigation unfolds.
