Wolverhampton Paramedic Stabbed on Duty Released from Hospital
A brave paramedic stabbed while trying to help a man in Wolverhampton has been discharged from hospital and is now recovering at home.
Attack During 999 Call
Paramedics Deena Evans and Michael Hipgrave were responding to an emergency call on Stephens Close around 12.20pm on Monday, 6th June, when the shocking stabbing/" title="Stabbing" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">stabbing occurred.
Recovering After Knife Wound
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that Deena was released from Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, on Wednesday afternoon after being treated for a knife wound to her chest.
Michael, who suffered injuries to his back during the attack, has also been discharged and is recuperating at home.
Support for Staff
Both paramedics remain in good spirits despite the ordeal. The West Midlands Ambulance Service continues to provide full support to Deena, Michael, and their colleagues affected by the incident.
