Two Men Shot in Southwark – Cops Launch Urgent Appeal

Detectives are hunting witnesses after a chilling shooting in Southwark left two men injured. Police rushed to Wodehouse Avenue, SE5, at 7.56pm on Saturday, 2 June following reports of gunfire.

Victims Shot Inside Car

Armed officers found a 22-year-old and a 25-year-old suffering gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to central London hospitals. The 22-year-old’s injuries are not life-threatening, while the 25-year-old escaped serious harm.

Investigators believe the men were sitting in a vehicle on Wodehouse Avenue when shots were fired through the windows.

Trident Unit Takes Over Investigation

Trident and Area Crime Command detectives are leading the probe. So far, no arrests have been made. In a statement, DS Tom Walter urged:

“We are appealing specifically for anyone with dashcam footage from Southampton Way, Commercial Way, or Wodehouse Avenue to come forward urgently.”
