Man Dies After Collapsing on Lewisham Road – Police Launch Probe

Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are hunting for witnesses after a man died early Saturday morning in Forest Hill, Lewisham.

Found Collapsed at 2:52am

Police were called at 2:52am on 25 November to Waldram Park Road following reports of a man lying collapsed in the road. Emergency services rushed to the scene alongside London Ambulance Service.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was found unresponsive and tragically died at the scene around 3:35am. Officers are still piecing together why he collapsed and whether a vehicle was involved.

Identity and Investigation Details

While police believe they know who the man is, formal identification is yet to be confirmed. Next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem is due to take place.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

A crime scene was set up and road closures were in place until just after midday. Now reopened, police urge anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward by calling the incident room on 0208 8285 1574 or the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
