Slough Rape Horror: Police Issue Fresh Plea for Witnesses
Detectives are hunting for new leads almost a month after a horrific rape in Slough.
The terrifying attack happened just before 8pm on Wednesday, 30 January, in the churchyard of St Mary’s Church on Church Street. The victim, a woman in her mid-thirties, was assaulted in the quiet evening hours.
Suspect Description Released
Police say the attacker is a dark-skinned man, aged between 40 and 45, with a stocky, muscular build and a noticeable scar on his face. He had dark eyes and was wearing a grey hat, white shoes, and a brown or black coat.
Detectives also believe the man may have spoken with an Eastern European accent.
Three Men Arrested – Now Released
Following the attack, cops arrested three men from Slough aged 42, 38 and 29 on suspicion of rape. All have since been released without charge as the hunt for the real offender continues.
Police Renew Urgent Appeal for Information
“Our investigation is ongoing, and one month on, we’re calling on anyone who was near St Mary’s Church between 7pm and 8pm on 30 January to come forward,” said Detective Inspector Will Crowther, leading the case from Slough police station.
“Even if you think what you know is insignificant, it could be a vital clue. If you have dash-cam footage or saw anything unusual, please get in touch.”
