Hit-and-Run Horror on Thanet Way: Driver Flees After Crash
Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left one person injured and rushed to hospital after a smash on the A2990 Old Thanet Way near Herne Bay. The crash happened just after 4pm on Friday, May 10, at a red light crossing close to the Lidl roundabout on Greenhill Bridge Road.
Silver Van Flees Scene, Victim Hurt
The collision involved a silver Citroen and a small silver van. The van sped off towards Chestfield on the A2990, leaving emergency crews to tend to the injured party, who was quickly taken to hospital. Their condition remains unknown.
Kent Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Kent Police have launched an urgent appeal for anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. A spokesperson said,
“Inquiries to locate the driver of the second vehicle are ongoing. We urge witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.”
