Tragedy on the A3: Young woman killed in horror crash
Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal smash on the A3 near Clanfield last night. At 11.05pm, officers rushed to the southbound carriageway where a white Vauxhall Corsa had flipped onto its roof on the verge.
The 22-year-old driver was found with serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.
Man arrested over suspected drug-driving and careless driving
A 26-year-old portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth man behind the wheel of a black Ford Focus has been arrested. He faces charges of careless driving and driving under the influence of controlled drugs.
He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Police seek witnesses to fatal collision
Investigations are ongoing, with officers stressing there’s no evidence both cars collided. They are urging anyone who saw the vehicles earlier in the evening or has info about the crash to come forward.
