Hero Attacked After Standing Up to Youth Gang on Banks Road
A lone woman was being harassed by a group of youths on Banks Road at 7pm on Saturday 26 March when a nearby man stepped in to help.
Instead of backing off, the gang turned on the Good Samaritan, brutally kicking and punching him. The victim was rushed to hospital with fractured ribs but has since been discharged.
Merseyside Police Launch Hunt for Attackers
Merseyside Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify three males pictured in connection with the vicious assault.
Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan said: “This was a sustained and shocking attack on a man who was simply not prepared to accept the poor behaviour of the youths involved.”
“If you recognise the males pictured, or witnessed any part of the incident on Banks Road, then do let us know as any information you hold could prove vital in our efforts to bring those responsible to justice.”
