Man Attacked in Racist Assault Outside West Hampstead Station

Police were called to West Hampstead Overground station at around 7.35pm on Thursday, December 2, following a shocking racially aggravated attack.

Anti-Semitic Abuse Sparks Violent Assault

A man in his 20s was targeted by a suspect who hurled vile anti-Semitic slurs. The attacker also smashed a Chanukah display set up nearby to celebrate the festival.

The suspect then launched a violent assault, threatening the victim with what appeared to be a knife before fleeing the scene. Thankfully, the victim escaped serious injury.

Police Seek Suspect – CCTV Released

Officers have launched an urgent investigation and released CCTV images of the man they want to question. Anyone who recognises him is urged to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting reference CAD 6588/02Dec.
