Christmas Horror: Pedestrian Hit After Collapsing on Busy Road
At 7.05pm on Christmas Day 2021, chaos struck Newbrook Road near Manchester Road junction. A pedestrian collapsed while crossing the street, then was struck by a car.
Man in His 60s Arrested Over Dangerous Driving
Police quickly arrested a man in his 60s on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
PC Phill Collingwood from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Firstly, I’d like to offer our condolences to the woman’s family. Our investigation is ongoing. I appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or has footage which may assist us to get in touch ASAP.”
