Knife scare in Brighton as two men nabbed after alert public tip-off!
PCSO Acts Fast After Tip-Off
A PCSO on patrol in Brighton was flagged down by worried locals who spotted men carrying a knife on Ann Street around 3.45pm on Monday, 5 September.
Suspects Caught Close By
The PCSO quickly passed a description to nearby officers. They tracked down two men matching the details in Denton Gardens, Brighton Road. Police found and recovered a knife close to the pair.
Two Worthing Men Arrested
The suspects, aged 44 and 47 from Worthing, were arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife in public. Both have been released under investigation as police carry out further enquiries.
Police Urge Public to Stay Vigilant
PC Shaun Moreland said: “This incident shows how vital our PCSOs are on daily patrols, engaging with the public and responding quickly to reports.”
