Serious Streatham Crash: Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police are urgently seeking witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage after a serious collision between a car and cyclist in Streatham.
Collision on Streatham Hill Leaves Cyclist Critically Injured
The crash happened around 9pm on Thursday, 25 June, at the junction of Streatham Hill and Telford Avenue. A silver VW Tiguan heading towards Streatham South collided with a 37-year-old female cyclist.
The cyclist was rushed by the London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital. She remains in critical condition. Her family has been informed.
Driver Arrested Over Suspected Driving Offences
The VW Tiguan driver, a woman in her 30s, stayed at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. She is currently in custody at a south London police station.
Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses
Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating the incident. They want to hear from anyone driving on Streatham Hill around 9pm who may have dashcam footage capturing the moments before the crash.
