Woman Attacked on Fareham Footbridge in Early Hours

Terrifying attack rocks Fareham just after 1.30am on Saturday, 19 March.

A woman was walking along West Street when a mystery man approached her near the footbridge over Western Way, close to the train station. He threatened and then attacked her in the dead of night.

Suspect Description: Tall, Bearded White Male

  • White male
  • Late 20s to early 30s
  • About 5ft 11in tall
  • Slim build
  • Full beard, blonde/grey colour

Police Launch Investigation – Appeal for Witnesses

Fareham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team is hunting the attacker and boosting patrols around the area. Specially trained officers are supporting the victim as inquiries continue.

If you were near West Street or Western Way between 1.30am and 2.45am, police want to hear from you. Did you spot anyone matching the description? Have dash-cam or CCTV footage? Even the tiniest clue could crack the case.
