Man Brutally Attacked with Glass Bottle After Football Match

A man in his 50s suffered serious injuries after a savage assault by three men on Lower Bannister Street late on Wednesday night.

Attack Details

The attack happened between 11.10pm and 11.30pm on 2 March. Officers found a broken glass bottle at the scene, confirming the weapon used.

  • One suspect: white male, 20s, 6ft tall, stocky build
  • Two others: white males, 20s, slim build

Victim’s Condition

The victim suffered a fractured skull and a brain bleed. He had earlier attended the southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton vs West Ham football match and then visited Yates pub on Above Bar Street.

Police Appeal

Rebecca Stevens from Western Investigations said: “We believe those involved had also been at the Yates pub. If you have any information that can help us identify these three men, please get in touch.”
