Woman Attacked in Southampton Underpass: Thugs Fail to Steal Phone and E-Bike

A 25-year-old woman from Southampton had a terrifying experience after being followed and attacked in an underpass off Sutherland Road just after 8pm on Sunday, 16 October.

Thugs Chase Woman, Try to Snatch Phone and E-Bike

The woman was walking her electric bike through the underpass when two men suddenly ran after her. They attempted to snatch her mobile phone and e-bike. One of the men even slapped her on the shoulder, causing her to fall to the ground. Luckily, the pair failed to steal either item.

Suspects Flee After Failed Robbery

The two men then casually walked back down the underpass before disappearing towards Sutherland Road. They are described as black, over 25, tall, wearing black shoes, black trousers, and black hooded jumpers.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Police are urgently seeking anyone who saw the men in the area or witnessed them leaving after the attack. Any information could help crack the case.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen these two men or can provide further information to contact us,” police said.
