Man, 30s, Attacked in Broad Daylight Near Station Road

Victim Ambushed on Walk from Train Station

At 10.10pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022, a man in his 30s was walking along Station Road, heading into town from the train station, when trouble struck.

Three youths turned on their phone torches and began trailing him, shouting aggressively. Near the Tannery Lane junction, one suspect lunged and punched the man. Though he tried to escape, two boys caught up and dealt a beating that left him with facial injuries.

Luckily, a passing motorist spotted the attack and rushed the victim to safety.

Teens Described as Masked and Menacing

Witnesses say the attackers were two boys aged 16 to 19, accompanied by a girl. One boy, white, had a grey top pulled over his face. The other, of mixed race, dressed in black and wore a yellow ski mask.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Footage

Kent Police are appealing for anyone in the area to come forward with information. They are especially keen to hear from motorists with dashcam footage and anyone with CCTV coverage.

“If you saw anything suspicious that night, please contact us,” said police. “Your help is vital.”
