Man in His 50s Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run in Ipswich
Police were scrambled just after 4.35am on Saturday, April 16, following reports of a man lying injured in the road on Rowley Close.
The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Thankfully, his condition has improved enough for him to speak with officers.
Hit-and-Run Suspected, Two Arrested
Detectives suspect the man was hit by a car that sped off without stopping. However, they are keeping an open mind as investigations continue.
Two men in their twenties were arrested in connection with the incident. Both have been released on police bail and are due back on May 12.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers have lifted road closures but are still keen to hear from anyone who was near Rowley Close or Brooklands Road between 12.30am and 4.35am that day.
If you were driving through the area with a dashcam, police urge you to check your footage for anything suspicious.
