Motorcyclist Dies After Horror Crash on M23
Police have launched a fresh appeal after a fatal collision on the M23 left a motorcyclist dead. Chi Hung Wong, 31, from Brighton, was seriously injured in a smash involving a Citroen C4 near Pease Pottage on the southbound carriageway around 9.10pm on Wednesday 20 October.
Tragically, Mr Wong later died from his injuries. His family have been informed, while cops continue to investigate what caused the crash.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
Officers want anyone who saw the collision or caught it on dashcam – especially lorry drivers – to get in touch. Witnesses are asked to email [email protected] quoting Operation Maywood.
Driver Arrested Over Suspected Drug Driving
The driver of the Citroen, a 55-year-old Worthing man, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Road Closures Amid Bad Weather
The stretch of the M23 was shut in both directions during the incident due to poor weather conditions, adding to delays and chaos.
