North West London Man Arrested in Dramatic Terror Raid
Police tonight swooped on a 20-year-old suspect in a major terror crackdown. The Met Police Counter Terrorism Command, backed by the Firearms Command, launched a pre-planned raid in north west London. The man was arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
High-Risk Raid Ends Without Injuries
Officers from the Firearms Command detained the suspect just after 6.30pm. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the operation.
Suspect Held in Custody
The arrested man remains in custody at a south London police station. He is being held under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act as the investigation continues.
